One thing our family loves to do together is have family movie night. We’ll divide between our couches, recliner, and the floor, snuggle up and watch a movie. There’s one thing we argue over every time though- who gets the “majestic blanket.” This blanket was named by my cousin’s son when they were visiting last summer because it’s well, majestic.

It is just the softest blanket you’ve ever felt. ALL of us love it. And you know how a blanket smells after 6 people have used it daily for weeks on end? Um, not very good! Until! I discovered blue iris bliss Snuggle Scent Boosters®. Coupled with Snuggle® Ultra Blue Sparkle fabric conditioner, our majestic blanket smells ridiculously fresh.

Last night when we were watching TV I literally could not stop smelling it. The kids were piling in my lap to get under the softest blanket ever!

I love that I can throw the scent booster into the laundry* and the scent lasts a long time!

Since many of us are on spring break this week (whoop!) and others have it coming up shortly, there may be more family movie nights than usual, so I thought I’d share our tips for a fun experience!

Tips for Family Movie Night:

1.) Pick a good movie

Now this goes without saying, but pick one that will keep the interest of both your youngest and oldest. It’s easier said than done! We usually have good luck with Pixar movies- they are fun enough for the littles but almost always have great story lines to keep the older ones engaged. Little House on the Prairie is another favorite.

2.) Start early

If we start our family movie night much after 7 pm, things get a little chaotic (okay, more choatic than normal) because by the end of the movie the little ones are getting tired and start running around, then the big kids get mad at them for being so loud, and so on. I don’t like for a fun activity to end badly, so we really try to start right after dinner.

3.) Have easy snacks on hand

Our older two kids are old enough to make microwave popcorn now, so we try to keep that around for family movie night. Other favorites are cutie oranges and coke floats.

4.) Have plenty of blankets and pillows around

Snuggling is one of the best parts of family movie night in my book so I’m sure so always have tons of blankets handy in our living room. We keep them in a trunk right in the middle of the floor so the kids always know where they are. And as I mentioned, we all fight over the best blanket in the house!

Since these two don’t always get along, I’ll do anything that ends up with them snuggled up like this:
