Gotta to go back to school/ A bit of nostalgia

This week has brought out a huge change in many families across the great state of Texas- the commencement of school! Although my kids aren’t in public school, we started up homeschooling this week, and as I admitted here, they were actually supposed to start their co-op classes last week. Oops.

Anyway, this year I am teaching both Landon (2nd grade) and Allison (kindergarten). It has been a wild couple of days- it turns out coming home from vacation 36 hours before school started wasn’t such a great idea as far as exhaustion goes. (are my suitcases still packed? Don’t ask!)
I had to show some first-day-of school pics though.

Our little guy on his first day of 2nd grade.

My Allie- this is the nostalgic part. Would you believe this is the outfit I wore on the first day of kindergarten– 27 years ago? My mom made it for me and I’m so glad she held onto it. It’s in great shape for such a “vintage” set of clothes! I need to get a pic of me in this outfit so I can compare!

She likes her new backpack. 🙂

How did your first day of school go?
