Flashback Tuesday: Top Deals from Dollar Tree

When I first started this blog almost a year ago, the name of it was More Bang for Your Bucks. The idea of it was to share deals I found at dollar stores: Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Family Dollar. Over the months, though, the blog evolved to more of my true passions, hence the name change.

However, I still love a good deal (and a good Dollar Tree!) so I thought I would compile a small list of good deals at dollar stores. Some items in the stores are over-priced, but there are many, many great deals as well. You can click the product name to go to the original post for each item for a full review.

1.
First up: pregnancy tests. These babies (no pun intended!) can cost up to $25 each at other stores! These tests have accurately worked for all four of my pregnancies- for the last 2, they’re all I used. The first two, I used a more expensive one then a Dollar Tree one to “confirm.” (Am I the only one who has to take at least two tests every single time, even though you know it’s right!?!?)
2.
Children’s acetaminophen: I was pleased to find this at Dollar Tree last summer. It works just as well as name-brand Tylenol. The only downside was that my at-the-time infant didn’t like the taste. The older kids were fine with it, though.
3.
3.
Swiffer mop pads: If it weren’t for my Swiffer, my floors would never get mopped. The refills are a bit pricey, but at Dollar Tree you can get 4 pads for $1. Not a bad deal to motivate me to mop more than, you know, once a year!
4.
Bathing suits for babies. My sister got this cute nautical bathing suit for my first daughter, and last summer my second daughter was able to wear it as well. Not a bad deal for a suit that cost $1! Comparable suits cost around $10 at Wal-Mart.
I have more to share later, but these are some of the best deals I’ve come across.
