I am so excited about a series I have coming up this summer! I started to do it last summer, and right as it was starting, my grandma passed away and I just never got back into it. I’m going to be doing a Summer Scripture Memory series. Each week, we’ll focus one different verse (or verses) and I’ll also share some kind of reinforcing activity as well.
I was recently able to review the Child Training Bible set- and I’ll do a full review very soon. Suffice it to say- it’s one of my favorite Biblical resources I’ve ever found. (and as a pastor’s wife, I’ve come across A LOT of Biblical resources!)
If you want to go ahead and purchase the set, click here. You certainly don’t have to have it, but it would be a great help. (Whether you participate in the Summer Scripture Memory or not!)
And if you don’t have kids? Don’t worry, this series is for adults, too! It’s never too late to start hiding God’s word in our hearts! (Say you can’t memorize? Try singing the words to your favorite songs from high school. It’s crazy how many lyrics we can remember. So we can memorize, we just have to commit!)
I hope you’ll join me!
{My book!}
I love this!! Awana just ended for the year and I had just decided that we would begin memorizing as a family – I think it will be easier with us all working on the same thing – we are starting with Isaiah 44:6 – I can’t wait to see what you have planned!!!
Fun! And a great way to keep the little’s minds working during the summer 🙂
