It’s hard to believe summer is drawing to a close! Here in Texas we’ll have hot weather for at least another month- maybe 2- but school is started up, signaling the end of our laissez-faire schedule we had going this summer. Still, if you’ve got any BBQs left, here are some delicious side recipes that I’m sure your guests would love to devour! Most of these were linked up at Life of the Party a few weeks ago!
One of my favorite sides ever (or is it really an appetizer?) is friend green tomatoes. Ashley of 3 Little Greenwoods showed us a delicious recipe for them! Now if only my garden would cooperate and start producing! Find the recipe here.
KFC Knockoff Coleslaw by Blissful and Domestic looks so good! My husband is a huge fan of coleslaw and I know he’d be tickled pink if I made this for him!
I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to live in the south and not like deviled eggs. And the addition of avocado? Genius! This recipe for Deviled Avocado Eggs is by Sherri at Luv a Bargain.
This bacon ranch pasta salad by Belle of the Kitchen looks scrumptious as well. Who doesn’t love bacon and ranch? (Although I’d have to nix the cucumbers. I sadly don’t like them- even more sad, it’s the only bountiful veggie in our garden!)
And even though it’s a little early for most people to enjoy sweet potatoes, one of my favorite sides of all time is Maple Bourbon Sweet Potatoes– with a crunch pecan topping. Yum!
