Sock it to me {or on the other hand-or foot- don’t}

Sorry for the ridiculous pun, but I really couldn’t help myself. 🙂

My husband loves socks. Almost much as he loves coffee. For real. He has lots and lots of them, and informs me on a regular basis that he needs more. {in my opinion, he doesn’t! ha. My question is, “Where do they go?”}

Also, socks aren’t cheap. This creates a dilemma in my trying-to-live-frugally-but-keep-the-hubby-well-stocked-in-socks situation. So I was excited to find a 3-pack of 2 different kinds of socks on a trip to Dollar Tree a few months ago. I figured that if they were good- we got 6 pairs of socks for $2. And if they weren’t, I had some new dust rags. {If I actually dusted, that is. ha!}
Well, they weren’t good. One pair literally {I love that word!} had holes in it after one wearing. Not even washing, just wearing! So we quickly decided not to go that route again. Luckily, I got a $10 off $10 coupon from JCPenney in the mail later that week, and we were able to get a 3-pack of high quality socks for free.
However, on our trip last weekend to the DT, we found men’s dress socks, priced at $1 a pair. They seemed to be a much thicker material than the regular white/casual ones. So we got 2 pairs. Again, much cheaper than other socks. He wore one pair last Sunday and one this Sunday {he’s a preacher man, if you didn’t know that already!} and the consensus is they were comfortable and seemed to have held up- at least through one wearing. So we’ll see how long they last.
*Side note: if you’re looking for baby socks, look no further than these gems! These are not what I would call cheap, but they stay on the baby’s feet. For hours. If you have a baby, you know how valuable this is! Plus they are super-cute. I can’t tell you how many single socks we have collected over the years, and we just discovered these with our third babe. If you’re pregnant, or need a good baby shower gift, I highly recommend ’em. {There are several different styles- and some for boys, too!}
