Hi friends and Happy Monday! We’re coming off a busy but fun weekend. My husband is in Africa so keep my family in your prayers!
One thing my friends always ask is, “What do you recommend I read?” I’m a pretty voracious reader so I usually have a suggestion or 2. 🙂 I’ve decided to keep up with the books I’v read this year, and share those with you in case you need a suggestion as well!
Be sure to check out this list as well- some of my all time favorites! Just click the image to hop on over.
Books to read

The Nesting Place– by Myquillyn Smith.
I had been wanting to read this book since it was published but it wasn’t in the budget at the time. When Amazon put the kindle version on sale for around $2.99, I snatched it up. It’s a great book on loving your house, even if it’s not perfect. Smith also provides practical tips for sprucing spaces in your home. Great for renters, too!
The Last Anniversary– ($1.99 on Kindle!) by Liane Moriarty
I read this fiction (before Lent!)- it was a quick read and my first read by Moriarty. It’s a mystery with a bit of a love story in it. There were a few chapters in there I wasn’t too crazy about, but overall a fun beach read. I’m hoping to read What Alice Forgot, probably her most well-known novel, this summer. (I’ll check it out from the library- I’m trying hard not to spend over $5 on fiction books. 🙂 )
The Moonlit Garden– this one was free with my Prime membership (I LOVE this aspect of Prime! Click here if you’re interested in a membership) It was a superb book- a very detailed mystery- one of the best novels I’ve read in a while, actually!
How to Control PCOS– by Bill Slater
This book is definitely not a “fun” read but as a woman who’s had PCOS for 13 years, it explained some things I had not heard of involving PCOS. (you can read more about my own journey here). It’s definitely worth the $3, especially if you’re new to the whole PCOS scene.
Hands-Free Life by Rachel Macy Stafford
This book was a well-needed reminder to put down the phone and enjoy the (real) life God has given me! I don’t know why scrolling endlessly on a phone is so addicting, but most of us can attest to the fact that it IS. But the moments God has given us will pass us by if we let them. I’ve definitely put mine aside more often and snuggled my little ones- it’s MUCH more fulfilling! 🙂
Creating Success at Home by Sharon Hines
This book was one of my favorites because I know the author personally. 🙂 Sharon has the kindest heart and this shows through in her book. You can read more of my thoughts on this book by clicking here.
Here’s the Amazon description: “As a home decor and lifestyle blogger, Sharon Hines has discovered several common obstacles to creating a home you love: the wrong mindset, cluttered spaces, not enough time, low energy and fear of decorating. Creating Success At Home is the answer to those obstacles.”
I’m looking forward to sharing with you each month! Also, be sure to leave any book suggestions YOU have for ME in the comments!
xoxo Kelli
