My mom makes the best pecan pie. Just ask anyone who’s had it- it’s perfect the best pecan pie recipe! A few years ago, I fell in love with the flavor combo of maple and bourbon. (You can see my maple bourbon sweet potato recipe here.)
I decided that a Maple Bourbon Pecan Pie sounded perfect! My daughters and I set to work making it. I love cooking with them- they love to learn new things. I call Evie my little foodie girl- she takes her food seriously! Isn’t she cute?
I make my own pie crust and will share that recipe with you soon. You can use your own recipe or check out Pioneer Woman’s recipe– it’s great!
Try it and let me know- what is the best pecan pie you’ve tried?
- one unbaked pie crust
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 T. melted butter
- 1½ c. chopped pecans
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- ½ cup light Karo syrup
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ½ tsp. vanilla
- 3 Tbs. bourbon
- Bake empty pie crust at 325 for 10 minutes
- Mix all ingredients and pour into pie crust.
- Bake at 325 for 45 minutes- 1 hour.
