If you’ve been following along the last few weeks, you’ll remember that my husband and I are re-doing the outside area just to the right of our house.
Here’s a reminder of the before:
This area has AMAZING trees (the one on the left is a live oak and on the right? A magnolia. Be still my Steel Magnolias-loving heart.)
We love the swing there and have a few folding tables we bring out when we want to dine al fresco, but we wanted to do something more permanent, and well, pretty, than folding tables. We like to eat outside almost every night that the weather is nice and we’re home (albeit this is proving to be a somewhat elusive combo lately) and we needed a table for 6. We have a small table for our littlest two kids, so even when we have a few people over for dinner, the table for 6 will be perfect.
We found the perfect table at At Home and it was a fantastic price- around $80. Here’s my hard-working husband putting it together.
And of course a little help from a (super cute) 3 year old is ALWAYS appreciated.
Here’s the table all put together along with our new chairs (also purchased from At Home). Oh, and bonus, a picture of our new donkey. 🙂 His name is Eeyore.
The table isn’t in its final place yet- we’re hoping to do a little something extra before the area is done.
Oh, and remember this picture from At Home?
The employees all looking for the fountain I just had to have? (Read more about that here!) Well we got the floor model and here it is! I just love it so much! It reminds me of my childhood, although I can’t put my finger on why just yet. It’s on our front porch at the moment but will probably be added to our dining area. I LOVE the sound of water (I even have a short clip of the sound over on Instagram if you want to check it out!)
I can’t wait to show you the completed area in a few weeks. I know we’ll be spending LOTS of time out here this summer!
What projects are you working on this spring? I’d love to hear! Be sure to check out the At Home 2016 Spring House ideas! So much good info!
