Hi guys! I promise a much more detailed post of my trip coming soon, just trying to process everything. I made it home safely this morning around 5:30 a.m. and am enjoying Ben and the kids!
Just wanted to share a fun post about one of my favorite topics- weddings! As the pastor’s family, we get to attend lots of them and are usually involved in some way. Within the last two weeks, a couple from church was just engaged (congrats Aubrey and Daniel!), and my cousin Nina also got engaged to her guy James! Then just a month ago, we attended the wedding of our good friends Hannah and Tyler.
I was thinking about bridesmaid’s dresses and how the bride always says they can be reworn- whether that’s the reality or not! I am sure I even said it for my wedding- ha! I did a little looking around on www.jjshouse.com and found a few dresses that I would certainly wear again- would you? I love JJs House because each dress is custom made- and the shipping is super fast! My bridesmaid’s dress for my friend Cameron’s wedding (see, I told you lots of weddings!) was from JJs House. It was even a maternity dress (the wedding was 4 days before I delivered Canaan!) which I was unsure about- but it turned out lovely.
Here Ben and I are with Cameron- excuse the 9-months-pregnant-puffy face and focus on that gorgeous bride!
I also love the fact that these dresses are truly affordable! Some bridesmaid’s dresses are upwards of $200, but there are plenty from JJs House that are in the $120 range. Here are some of my favorite bridesmaids dresses you can wear again!
This emerald green one is super fun and would look great for a cocktail party later on down the road. I love the flower detail at the waist. If green isn’t your favorite, it comes in over 30 colors! ($119)
I also really like the styling of this dress. It appears to be very slimming at the waist- a plus for any woman! After wearing it as a bridesmaid’s dress, it would be fun to wear to a fancy gala or fundraiser. ($99- also comes in a huge selection of colors!)
Although this dress might be harder to find a “re-wear” occasion, I couldn’t help but include it. It’s just so lovely and classic, and even though I’m not usually fan of pale colors, (probably due to my ultra-pale skin!) I really like this one. If you ever go on a cruise, it would make a great dress for the formal evenings. ($117)
I’m loving the lace that’s popping up on fashion everywhere. It’s just so feminine, and it’s especially lovely on this bridesmaid’s dress. The bow on the belt adds a great touch too! I think it could actually be re-worn to a wedding as a guest, what do you think? (it’s a bit similar to my favorite dress that I wore to a wedding) ($123)
And last but not least, no dress post of mine would be complete without a one-shoulder style! And, it’s in my favorite color family as well! This one would be fun at a dinner party as well. ($100)
So how about you? Do you have any bridesmaid’s dresses you’ve worn again?
These are so Beautiful! Thanks for linking up. 😀 http://timeforseason.blogspot.com/2014/03/my-favorite-things-saturdays-315.html
