31 Days of Small Changes Day 24
I mentioned the other day that my crock pot is my most-used small appliance in my kitchen. (Well, next to the coffee maker for hubs!) Anyway, I looked around the web a bit and gathered up some delicious looking crock pot recipes! Hope you’ll enjoy!
Main dishes:
Simplest Slow Cooker Chicken by Real Food Simple is a concept we’ve been using for a few years now. It really is super easy and delicious!
Crockpot Mandarin Orange Chicken by ZagLeft combines sweet and savory flavors- my fave!
Chicken Teriyaki– this recipe by Living in this Season looks simple and yummy!
Easy Salsa Chicken– this recipe by Life Between the Kitchen and the Coop is great and she gives several ways to use the chicken once it’s cooked!
Crock Pot Pork Carnitas by Family Fun Journal will definitely be making an appearance in this home soon. My husband is a huge fan of carnitas! (Well, meat in general!)
Mmm I do love French Dip Au Jus and this recipe looks so easy and tasty!
I’m always a sucker for Asian-inspired food and this Crock Pot Honey Sesame Chicken by Let Why Lead would be a great fit!
My family’s favorite so far is Slow Cooker Beef Bourginon
We also love Sweet ‘n’ Spicy Honey Sriacha Chicken– and it’s super-affordable as well.
Soups:
First up, this Healthy Crockpot Beef Vegetable Stew (gluten-free) by Teressa Jane that’s actually healthy. Real food on a chilly night- yum!
Slow Cooker Tomato Basil Soup is always a favorite. Here’s my friend Mama Gab’s version, and here’s my version.
Curried Indian Chicken Soup is one of our kids’ favorites as well. I guess they have a pretty varied palette. 🙂
Slow Cooker Hamburger Soup– I’ll have to try this one when my son comes home with fresh venison!
This soup has my mouth watering: Slowcooker Potato, Kielbasa and Spinach Soup with Gouda
Sides:
I am huge fan of risotto and haven’t yet tried it in the crockpot. This Slow Cooker Tuscan Risotto will surely be my first attempt!
And last but not least, Slow Cooker Whole Grain Mac’n’ Cheese by Penney Lane Kitchen. It’s Mac’n’Cheese, need I say more? (I will say, I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to the stuff. Follow it here!)
