I don’t know too many women who don’t love a trip to Bath and Body works. Delicious- smelling shower gels, luxurious scrubs, and my favorite, irresistible candles. But, the place isn’t cheap. Sure they run great sales and have coupons all the time, but still, for our family, it’s definitely a treat I wouldn’t get to indulge in often.
Except. I have Swagbucks. What is Swagbucks? Well it’s a Search Engine that you use just like you would use Google, except that you earn points for many of the searches you do. Then, you redeem your points for gift cards or merchandise. There are tons of places that you can get gift cards- WalMart, CVS, even Target. But I usually redeem mine for Bath and Body Works gift cards, just because it’s an easy way for me to get a little treat that’s either free or almost free.
- Sign up for Swagbucks and also sign up for eBates
- You can even install Swagbucks’ toolbar so that it’s your automatic search engine and you don’t have to actually go to their site every time you search. (Or, make Swagbucks your homepage)
- Then, use Swagbucks like you would Google or Bing or Yahoo search engines. Watch your points accumulate! (You can also take surveys and watch videos for extra points, but I usually don’t do this.)
- When you’ve earned enough points to get a B&BW gift card, do that using the site’s instructions.
- Search online for coupons that you can also use to make your deal even sweeter! (Use retailmenot.com or another similar site.)
- Go to ebates.com and begin your shopping there. You’ll earn cash back through them as well!
- Order your products from B&BW and enjoy them, knowing you got a great deal! You might have to pay shipping, but they do run free shipping specials at certain times of the year.
Thank you for this! I too LOVE B&BW and I see you can use the gift cards for other places like Walmart, Target, and CVS. My family and I are planning a Christmas Eve/Christmas Day Disneyland trip and have been trying to save money anywhere we can so this is really helpful with the gift cards. Thank you again!!
I will have to share this with my Dave Ramsey Group, Frugal is our middle name! BOTS Group.
Sarah that would be awesome! Thanks for stopping by! I love Dave Ramsey, too. 🙂
I totally understand why everyone would want this, but heres the problem. The only coupons BBW accepts are from RetailMeNot or their own website. If your local store is accepting this, thats on them. But their policy from corporate is just what I stated. They can get in LOADS of trouble from accepting googled coupons or SnipSnap or any other one. So if you love your local associates, please stop. i know several people who have gotten fired over this. If you want good coupons, sign up for their direct mailing or emails. SOOOOO good and such great savings!
hey, this sounds awesome, I had a question though, can you use the gift cards in stores or online only?
Hi Kylie! I used mine online so I know you can do that, but I’m fairly certain you could use them in-store as well. You may just want to check before you add it to your cart on Swagbucks.
I just checked the Swagbucks site and it looks like you can only use the gift card online:
Terms & Conditions:
Bath & Body Works E-Gift Cards can only be redeemed online. In order to redeem your E-Gift Cards online at Bath & Body Works, you must enter both the E-Gift Card number and personal identification number (PIN) for each E-Gift Card used during Checkout. If you are having trouble locating your PIN, please contact us at 1-800-756-5005. Any unused balance will remain on your E-Gift Card and can be applied to future purchases.
Great idea
Thanks for sharing! I had no idea you could get BBW gift cards through Swagbucks. I’ve always just redeemed mine for Amazon or Paypal gift card. I might have to save my next patch of points for some BBW holiday shopping. 😉
Great tip! I always use my swagbucks for amazon gift cards.
Great tips. Thank you for sharing with us at #HomeMattersParty . We would love to have you again next week.
I LOVE ebates! It is one of my favorite ways to save money. The problem is the older I get the more forgetful I become and I generally realize I forgot to go through ebates after I already purchased something! Lol I’m getting better at remembering though:)
I just started blogging and I really enjoy it. If you ever check our new blogs I would love it if you would check mine out and give any feedback you would like. I really look up to the bloggers I follow and the inspiration is awesome. So thank you!!
