Thanks for joining me for 25 day of All Things Christmas! You can catch up on day 1 here and day 2 here.
Today’s post is a fun craft that only takes a fe minutes but can add beauty to your tree!
I’ve been quite the “crafty” lady these last few weeks. It doesn’t help that I live with little girls who love to craft, and plus it’s the holidays! Making DIY Christmas ornaments is fun, plus I love making my home more personalized with things we make.
I’ve been loving lace lately (you can see an example here) and pearls just seem to go with lace!
I whipped up this ornament in about 5 minutes- which is about all the time I have before a certain 1 year old grabs the hot glue gun! Here’s how you do it-
1. Gather your items.
We used a strand of “pearls”, a lace doily, a clear ornament, scissors, (similar to these) and a hot glue gun. That’s it!
I simply cut out the center part of the doily so that I had a strand of “lace.” You could use real lace, instead, of course!
Glue the lace around the top of the ornament.
Add pearls into the ornament and replace the top. Glue a strand of pearls around the opening.
And that’s it! A fun, simple ornament that will add flair to your Christmas tree
I also made a similar ornament for Baby’s First Christmas. You can see the steps over at Untrained Housewife.
What are your favorite kinds of ornaments? Do you like to make your own?
