Hi friends! It’s been a while since I’ve done a personal update so I wanted to share a few things going on in our lives. While I’m very thankful I’m able to use my blog as a business, I do really miss “the old days” when I blogged mostly about my adorable kids. đ
Speaking of the old days, this little critter got his very first hair cut at 2 years old. It was well past-due but I knew it would make him look so much older- and it did! My baby isn’t a baby anymore. đ But he’s so much fun!
Our family spent Thanksgiving with my husband’s parents, his brother, sister-in-law, and our nieces and nephew at their deer ranch in South Texas. A very untraditional way to spend Thanksgiving for most, but very on-par for our family!
On this trip, I also got my very first deer. Our family eats about 90% venison throughout the year (vs. beef- we usually only buy steaks) and I was happy to be able to contribute this year. Shortly before my grandfather died in 2013, he gave my son his deer-hunting rifle. I decided I wanted to use it for my first deer hunt ever. It’s such a family tradition in both mine and Ben’s family’s, and it equals 100% organic meat at a fraction of the price at the grocery store!
Now, it’s time to talk about our pinning party. Link up your favorite pins each week, and we’ll promote them! It’s a win for everyone! Here was my favorite from the party last week: Spicy Enchilada Casserole.
Here is my own favorite pin from this week- Spicy Olive Cheese Bites. You NEED this recipe this Christmas season!
