On Saturday, I wrote about loving the people in your home more than the thought of a perfect house. Today I want to publicly give accolades to my dear husband. I know people don’t like this type of lovey-dovey post too often, but it’s his birthday and he’s awesome!
He is truly a gift to me, a gift I certainly don’t deserve.
He treated me with utmost respect during our dating days- he didn’t even kiss me until one month before our wedding!
He led me gracefully through a tough ministry job that ended badly. But he held on to his integrity when our leader didn’t. I love him for that.
He completely remodeled two houses for us with his own two hands (and the hands of our family and friends!). He worked tirelessly late nights even when I was already in bed.
He held me and supported me through the dark days of our early parenthood– days that should have been filled with joy and excitement, but were instead filled with dread and worry.
He has supported my vision for homeschooling, even when at first he was unsure- I was even unsure! He continually encourages and affirms me in what is the hardest job I’ve ever had!
He has been with me through four pregnancies- enough said!
He leads our church with lots of prayer, humility, and faith.
He tells me that I’m beautiful at least ten times a day.
He loves our children with a fierce love- and they return that love.
He makes our house a home.
How old were you guys when you got married?? Wow and 4 kids!! I’m the 2nd out of 4 and I must say it was always interesting at my house 🙂 happy birthday to your husband!!
Haha, yes we were babies! I was 21 and my husband had just turned 25. Yep, four kids is definitely interesting! 🙂
