My {lovely, so fun} New Blog Design and Theme!

Wow, welcome to my “new” blog- I am so very excited about my new design by the fabulous Amanda of Royal Daughter Designs and my new theme- one that I believe will be more fitting for my content. {Oh, the redesign was a birthday present from my hubby. My b-day is Monday and I’ll have a fun giveaway for you that day!}

I started my blog More Bang for Your Bucks last June, and had several fun months of posting good deals and how to save money, but I soon realized that was not my passion. Sure, I still love a great deal, but over and over on articles I read about “how to have a great blog,” I kept reading that I should write about what “keeps me up at night”. Getting the best deal at Dollar Tree was not one of them.

Over and over, what I actually was writing about, boiled down to four main topics, hence the (very fun name, if I do say so myself!) Eat Pray {Read} Love.
The name is a spin off of the popular book Eat Pray Love, which I have not read but think the title is so fun and catchy- and I added in the “read” because I wanted it to be original. So what can you expect in my “new” blog?

eat– I love, love, love to cook and create new recipes. I usually only usually follow a recipe that I find, and tweak it to fit our family’s tastes. Sometimes, come up with a recipe all my own, such as my Salted Caramel Fudge or Thai Shrimp Soup.  I also have a fun time seeing what you’re cooking up, so I started my Recipe Roundup linky each Wednesday. Each week, I choose my favorite recipe and feature it the next week, along with a free month of advertising! Win/win, I think. (This week’s link is still live, go enter! I’d love to see your recipes!)

Love– Wow, love encompasses a lot of topics, right? I already have a series running on marriage that I love, love, love. {no pun intended!} I have different guest bloggers lined up from now until April and so far their wisdom has been so helpful and encouraging. {PS My favorite guest blogger ever is coming up this Tuesday, Valentine’s Day, so stay tuned!} I’ll also be writing about ways to love our children, our friends, our parents, and others in our lives we don’t even know.
