On the Refrigerator Door

I am so excited to have a few new sponsors this month- and one of them is Debbie! She blogs at On the Refrigerator door and has some great projects and stories! I love her post called “Collect Moments, Not Things.” She also has a fun website that bride-to-be’s should visit, as well as others that would like to send a message in a very special way. 😉

I am taking a few days’ break this week and will have some more fun guest posts coming up, so stay tuned!

Hi, I’m Debbie from  On the Refrigerator Door  and I’m excited to be a guest while Kelli is taking a few days off.  I want to tell you a little about myself, but first, have you ever found yourself at a friend’s house looking at what’s on their refrigerator? I love to do that, and always think it is a great way to learn a little bit about someone.  You can see where they have been, what they use to look like, or how silly they can be.
My refrigerator doors are a glimpse into my life just like by blog.  They are full of some of my favorite photographs from trips, postcards from friends, recipes for inspiration and magnets I have made or collected over the years.  I started my blog as a way to share the projects I’m working on, trips I go on and lovely items I come across.

I’m a thirty-something year old architect, artist and world traveler. When I was in school I studied overseas a few times and then worked in New Zealand for a year after college.  A few years ago I spent five weeks traveling around India on my own.  Between working and creating things I’m always trying to figure out where the next big trip will be!

I love to create things and one day realized I needed some hooks in my bathroom.  Instead of going out and buying some I decided to make them myself.  Here is how they turned out and I still enjoy looking at them every time I go into the bathroom!

Another project I came up with recently was my own  fabric tags.
I was working on a sewing project and I wanted to add a tag to it, but I didn’t have a name or logo for the tag.  Instead I used a rubber stamp, ink and a permanent marker to create my own.
I hope you will stop by if you get a chance and hopefully you will find some inspiration and fun ideas at On the Refrigerator Door.
