We’ve all got ’em. The person in your life that is extremely hard to buy for, but you love them so much that want to get them something! If I had to pick, I’d say that buying gifts for my dad and husband are the hardest of all. They both love the outdoors and all that encompasses (hunting, fishing, etc) but it’s hard to know exactly what they need or want when there are approximately ten billion choices of everything out there.
I decided to smarten up and asked my husband to help me pick out 10 gifts that are outdoorsy-man (and woman!) approved:

1.)First up: a WATERPROOF flashlight. How cool is that? So your guy can take it in the boat with him without worrying about it getting wet- and you don’t have to worry about him in the boat without a light! Plus, it’s under $7!
2.) Portable, outdoor friendly chairs are a must for camping, hunting, fishing, and just about any other outdoor activity. These look nice and durable.
3.) A cooler is always handy and this small Coleman soft cooler is perfect to take on the boat or in the deerstand to hold some canned drinks.
4.) This next gift was my husband’s Father’s Day gift- a boat. Now, it’s not a huge, take-up-your-whole-garage boat. It’s a small inflatable boat that can be stored in a rubbermaid tote on your shelf in your garage. It’s perfect if your outdoorsman wants to get out on the water, but you don’t have a huge amount of space, or $30k lying around. PS we fit our WHOLE family- 2 adults and 4 children in it. It was tight but totally doable!
5.) These sports- themed grilling utensils are perfect if your outdoorsman likes to grill AND loves a particular sports team. I had to choose the Texans, of course, since we live in Houston, but most NFL teams are available here.
6.) If your husband is a hunter, this game will give him something to do when it’s not hunting season. It looks scary but I guess adrenaline junkies would appreciate it. 😉
7.) Spending lots of time outdoors in the winter, your outdoorsman will appreciate these warm socks. (A nice, warm beanie is also a must if it’s cold where you live.)
8.) A good way to store ammo is a great gift for a gunman. Because apparently, you can’t just have one kind of gun and ammo. You’ve got to have at least four! *wink* These ammo cans are a good choice.
9.) For a hunter: A trail cam for spotting and taking pictures of the deer (or other wildlife). This is actually pretty cool to see what’s in the woods when you’re not there! Lots of choices and price ranges here.
10.)According to my hubby, a good knife is necessary for all outdoorsmen. This Browning knife is very nice yet affordable.
bonus gift: This doesn’t have anything to do with being outdoorsy, but how fun is this BACON t-shirt? I know my man would eat bacon 3 meals a day!
If you have other gifts for outdoorsmen ideas, I’d love to hear them in the comments!
