Canaan, our just-turned-two-year-old, is quickly developing his cute little personality and is good at letting us know what he likes. One thing he LOVES- anything with an engine. The other day, he and I were in Walmart and found the Planes merchandise on the toy aisle.
It’s safe to say, he loved that!
I decided to make a Planes-themed snowglobe for him. I made several snowglobes a few weeks ago, and making one that would make Canaan happy made me happy!
Here’s the step-by-step tutorial:
First, hotglue your plane to the top or side of the container you’ll be using for a snowglobe.
I started off using plastic, but ended up using a candle jar with a lid because the plane wouldn’t stay glued to the plastic. I had little hands helping me. 🙂
Brush ModPodge onto the lid of your snowglobe, which will actually be the bottom.
And some glitter for good measure
Hot glue the lid to the container and tada…
Any kid in your life is sure to love it! (excuse the smudged face/clothes- he’d just finished a Christmas cookie 🙂 )
If you’re looking for last-minute gifts for the little ones in your life, several of the toys are on Rollback at Walmart. These include Disney Planes Flight to the Finish Speedway, Disney Planes Fire & Rescue Die-Cast Vehicles, 3-Pack, Disney Planes Fire & Rescue Deluxe Talking Vehicle Assortment, Planes Character Assortment die-cast set and the Disney Planes: Fire and Rescue Character Assortment die-cast set. You can find them here:
(Canaan is looking at the granola bar he’d thrown on the floor! ha!)
Creating this snowglobe for Canaan was so much fun. What are your favorite child-friendly Christmas crafts?
What a cute idea…I love it! The only crafts I am doing for my grandchildren this year is a stuffed Hippo for my 10-month-old granddaughter and aprons (at their request) for her 2, 3, and 4-year-old brothers. I can’t wait to see their faces when they open their gifts!
I love this cute little snow globe idea! My kids LOVE snow globes and my eldest used to collect them. Until they all started to break, that is. 🙂 #client
