If there’s one thing my readers know, it’s that I L-O-V-E Sam’s Club. (Be sure to read to the end for a $50 Sam’s Club giftcard giveaway!) With 4 kids, it makes life so much easier to be able to go to the store less often and stock up on what we use all the time. (Also, you can order online and pick it up in the store, where it’s all waiting on you. Genius!)

A few days ago, the “big kids” and I headed to Sam’s- where they are celebrating Baby Month- to pick up a few things we were running low on. We also wanted to get a few surprises for Canaan. As the youngest of the bunch, almost everything he owns was previously owned by his siblings (or cousins!) which is awesome, but I do like to buy him a few things here and there that are his.Although we’ve been working on potty training with Canaan, it still hasn’t happened completely so we grabbed a box of diapers. Since I’m hoping we’ll be done with diapers soon, we split the huge pack and were able to give half to a single mom of twins. And wipes- I think I’ll keep wipes around my house forever! They are just so handy for cleaning up spills. We also chose Dreft Laundry Detergent- the smell of it brings me back to when my babies were tiny- love it!
We also got a few snacks that Canaan enjoys- apples and applesauce pouches. (See a theme here? The boy likes his apples!) For fun, we picked out two books for him. One about Texas- every little Texan needs to start early learning about this great state. We also got a fun book that has an erasable drawing pad on top. He has so much fun with it, and it keeps our little toddler busy.
Is that MY toddler, being still? #hallelujah! (PS, isn’t he completely adorable? 😉 )
Here are my tips for stocking up for your toddler:
1.) Make sure you have plenty of healthy snacks around. Toddlers can be super picky at meal time (understatement of the year) and if all you have is junk food for snacks, they won’t get the nutrients they need.
2.) Have plenty of activities to keep their little minds and bodies busy. I’ve noticed that when I intentionally have Canaan something to do- looking at books, coloring, etc- he’s not sneaking off to destroy a room!
3.) Keep a spare box of diapers and wipes around. You DON’T want to run out of these at midnight, and you can always use the spare box for a gift if you need to!
I love that when I stock up with big Sam’s Club packs, I can care for my baby and my budget while buying more for my baby- and also have baby products left to pass along!
