Thankful Thursday

{Today, I’m linking up with Sarah for Thankful Thursday.
So glad to have the opportunity to share gratitude.}

1.) Kids that sleep well.
My kids are very, very, VERY! active during the day, and I’m so thankful that they all sleep about twelve hours each night. I am able to get almost 8 hours uninterrupted each night, and that is crucial for all I have to do each day.
{although, ironically enough, my baby girl was up at 5:40 am today- she usually sleeps until 8! I may have to retract this paragraph! 😉 }

our baby fell asleep during lunch yesterday- so sweet!

2.) Books.

This is a picture of some of the books I’ve read so far this year. I guess you could say I’m a bookworm!
I’ve done reviews of  You’re Already Amazing (top book), Heaven is for Real (second from top), and I Will Carry You (not pictured). You may wonder how I have so much time to read- well several of these books (The Hunger Games trilogy, a few library books not pictured, and most of Unbroken) I read during April, when I took a FB break. I think I may take a break every other month or so to have more reading time!

3.) The cool weather we had until last weekend
If you’ve ever been to Houston, you know it is steamy down here, sometimes beginning as early as March. However, we just had to turn on our air conditioner for the first time last Friday- it was so nice up until then. We spent lots of time outside for several weeks, knowing what’s coming this summer!
Some of my northern friends are probably laughing that we “only” had to turn on our A/C at the end of April, but we’ll take what we can get!

4.) Feeling better
I was pretty sick on Tuesday- really sore throat, achy, extremely tired. I barely was out of bed for more than 20 minutes at a time. I felt 100% better yesterday- and probably overdid it. But I was so thankful to be out of the bed!

My dinner the night I was sick: hot tea, oatmeal, cough drops.

What are you thankful for today?
