With four kids, there are a myriad of options of extracurricular activities, especially in a huge metroplex like Houston. It’s really hard to choose where to go for art classes, or swim lessons, or Cub Scouts because there are literally dozens (or more!) of choices for each.
I remember several years ago I signed Allie up for a gymnastics class in the summer. I knew it would probably be pretty informal, but what I didn’t expect was there to be a different instructor every single week, and pretty much zero structure for the class. I was pretty bummed because she showed promising skill but just wasn’t getting much help.
A few months later, my friend Fabia asked if I wanted to put our girls into a gymnastics class together. Enter The Little Gym. It was amazing! The teachers loved our girls and worked so well with them. Each week the instructors had a theme that went along with their gymnastics class. I couldn’t believe how different it was from our previous experience.
Allie improved quickly and learned so much.

A few months ago, Evie (our younger daughter) began talking about taking gymnastics. We found a The Little Gym location even closer to us and signed her up. She loves it and talks about it all week!
I’m just really impressed every week by the attentiveness of the instructor, Ms. Jasmine. She gives the kids her full attention (no pulling out a cell phone during class!) and the kids adore her.
Aren’t they so cute?
Evie has improved already in the 2 months she’s been taking gymnastics, and now Allie wants to begin lessons again.
Oh, and The Little Gym isn’t just gymnastics! They also offer dance and karate classes. Summer camps are also available and I’ve already signed up both of daughters.
I’m so glad for the choices we have, and The Little Gym is the perfect choice for us!
My child received lessons as compensation for this post, but all opinions about The Little Gym’s awesomeness are my own!
We love gymnastics! Both my kids are in classes. It’s great for motor skills and balance and socialization and learning to listen and follow instructions. And it’s been especially good for improving Ethan’s coordination! Glad you found such a great place!
What a fun class, it looks like your daughter is enjoying herself. I wish there were gyms like this when my kids were little, I know they would have loved it!
That sounds like so much fun!! I wish we had one close to us..I would sign up Ryley in a heart beat!
How fun! This would have been a great place for my boys when they were younger. They would have had a blast!
This looks so neat! I bet my girls would love the Little Gym for classes and I’ve sent the boys when they have the playdate/parents day out things and they had a blast! I’ll have to see what they have for us in Katy!!
