to the people who don’t love Mother’s Day {a prayer}

Yesterday, as I was sitting in church with my {wonderful} mama, my mind was wandering a bit about Mother’s Day. Thinking of sweet things to say about my mom takes zero effort- she is amazing. (She kept my three kids for six days while hubby and celebrated our anniversary. Enough said.)
And I am mom; I get to stand up when the pastor says, “All the moms please stand.” But yesterday, my heart was thinking about those who don’t love Mother’s Day. The ones who would rather skip right over the day- maybe they were hurt by their own mothers or want so badly to be a mom but it hasn’t happened yet.
My prayer today is for
the mamas who
have lost babies
want more babies and haven’t been able to
are in the hardest job- parenting- alone
whose children have broken their hearts
whose children have life-threatening illnesses
&
 the sweet people who
want so badly to be parents, and it just hasn’t happened
wish they could say lovely sentimental things about their own mothers, but they just wouldn’t be true
had a lovely mother but have lost her
This is a verse that has become increasingly more meaningful to me-
I pray that it minsters to you as well.
