Today’s the Day!

As I write this post, I am a mere 5 hours from leaving my house for the airport to fly to Ecuador, where I’ll spend 5 days serving with Compassion International. And I’m so excited… although the child we already sponsored through Compassion lives in El Salvador, we sponsored another child last week who lives in Quito, and I might get to meet her!

I am so excited! My mom bought her a baby doll and the kids and I got her somethings like stickers, puzzles and a head band. Most importantly, though, I’ll be giving her The Jesus Storybook Bible in Spanish. It’s a beautiful kids’ Bible story book that shows how the story of Christ is woven throughout the whole Bible. It’s just beautiful and I can’t wait to share it with her.

Isn’t she precious? She’s only about 4 months older than our Evie.

I covet your prayers for this trip. Please pray I am able to spread the love of Jesus to these precious children. Please pray for my family back home. This is my first time away from Canaan for more than about 36 hours and I know we’re going to miss each other like crazy!

I hope to update while I’m gone but not sure if it will be possible. If not, I’ll be sure to tell you all about when I get home!
