Hey there! I’ll be quick tonight as I’m packing, packing, packing for my trip to Ecuador. Oh, yes, and cramming as much Rosetta Stone Spanish in as I can! Did I mention I’m excited? Yay! God has provided abundantly for this trip through selling Scripture prints and others who simply donated because they’re awesome! I even have some left over to use for needs that I see while I’m in Ecuador.
So as you know, I’ve committed to only buying thrift store clothes for this year for myself. Well, I found out last Wednesday that I would need a rain jacket for the trip since it’s still rainy season in Ecuador. I asked a few people if I could borrow one, but no one I asked had one. So hubby and I headed to Wal-Mart on our date last week (we live 5 minutes from one but rarely go) and began looking for one. I didn’t find one there, and that’s a post for another day. 🙂

But we did see a bunch of cute maxi dresses. I saw them out of the corner of my eye but I was focused on the rain jacket when Ben said, “That would be really comfy on the plane,” pointing a super-cute tan and black striped maxi dress. “Yes it would I said, but it’s not from a thrift store so I’m not going to buy it.”
He then proceeded to find my size, and say, “Well, you can’t turn it down if it’s a gift can you?” Well, no, I can’t, can I? So I’ll now be traveling in comfort and style. 😉
Dress//Wal-Mart $15
Necklace// F21 $3ish
Cardigan // Ross $20
Earrings // Target (gift)
Tulips// Gift from the Amsterdam Airport from my hubby…. priceless 🙂
So what’s your favorite Wal-Mart find? I have to say, this is mine!
I can’t believe you found that at Wal-Mart! Very cute and stylish. It’s so sweet that your hubby bought that for you so you wouldn’t be skimping on your commitment 🙂 Have fun in Ecuador!
Thanks Britny! It’s the most comfortable dress ever, too! Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
Love this look! I would so wear this. And good job sticking to your thrift store shopping guns. Thanks for sharing at All Things Pretty!
